About Training
PIM offers a range of training and developmental packages which are rooted in a coaching and brain-based approach. Our training seeks to offer something which adults will find informative and useful when working, caring for or living with young people. We also seek to offer space for young people to understand better what is going on within their continually developing brain and the forthcoming thinking, attitudes and behaviour. Some of this training is developed and some is bespoke to meet a need for you. Some of these offering form part of the Bigger Conversations work we seek to do, which is outlined here. Some would sit in Workshops approach we have which is outlined here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1161″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1499362014709{padding-top: 3em !important;padding-bottom: 3em !important;background-color: #efefef !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1163″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
Example Programme
Coaching Conversations Training for Adults and Young People:
An introductory level 2 day-plus course specifically designed for people who want to benefit from adopting a coaching approach in their day-to-day work or care provision. The training provides additional skills to add to your repertoire and will enhance practice delivery and your own thinking and performance. This training also draws on lessons from neuroscience helping you to support the young person better through having a deeper understanding of the adolescent brain.
Learning is experiential, learning by doing, with plenty of opportunity to practise core skills. Learning is also applied using real life/time situations. Space and time is built in for reflection and would encourage this to support your learning, particularly in between training days.
